Dr. LaRue holds a degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Cincinnati, an M.B.A. in Finance from the University of Texas at Austin, and a Ph.D. in Civil Engineering from Oklahoma State University.  Upon graduation he entered the oilfield with the Amoco Production Company, and has worked both for international majors as well as large and small domestic independents.  A significant portion of his industry experience has been spent in reservoir engineering and property acquisitions.

 

Dr. LaRue also served as the Vice-President of Projects for The Dresser Engineering Company.  Prior to this position he served as the Project Manager for a large number of pipeline, compressor station, refinery unit, and natural gas processing projects.

 

Dr. LaRue works directly with KVR Energy in many areas.  He develops reserves forecasts and economic analyses for potential acquisitions and also provides daily operational supervision for several of KVR’s producing properties.  Several of KVR’s projects involve significant infrastructure investment, oversight, and management.  Dr. LaRue provides project management services to KVR for these particular opportunities.

 

Dr. LaRue has 26 years experience in Texas, the Mid-Continent, the Rockies, and Appalachian basins.  He is a member of the Society of Petroleum Engineers, and the American Association of Individual Investors.  He and his family have chosen to make  Tulsa their home since 1982.
